I'd like to say congratulations to Taylor Mehlhaff on a successful NFL debut. After missing a 31 yard field goal and booting his first kickoff out of bounds, he recovered by nailing field goals of 44 and 33 yards in the second and fourth quarters respectively. He was also 4/4 on extra-points.
I remember reffing some co-ed floor hockey for rec sports a couple years back when Mehlhaff had a team. He had a big shot and nearly checked a female player through the wall. The man's a competitor.

Is there anything better than having a former Badger replace a twink like any of the loser Gramatica clowns?
Bret should be fired for all of his OFF FIELD ACTIVITIES! His coaching stinks because he's too busy trying to be a player at the bars and chasing underage girls... (under 21 but still in the bar) How about being found passed out in a bathroom stall at The Dry Bean? All class... He cares more about that stuff than any of his players.
Well, I'm not sure that anybody knew anything about Bret passed out at the Dry Bean? Do you have photo's??
Keep him on board and let him get this program rolling. I am seeing signs that the football program is on the upswing and poised for a big run. If he wants to go out and have a little fun, then let him, he just needs to keep it cool. Keep up the great work Brent, we are behind you all the way and blue skies are beginning to show.
Maybe we evaluate the state of badger football after next season. He has had some tough early loses to the nfl, injuries, and the refs are not exactly helping our cause. I agree with happybadgerfan, things are looking up.
Man this whole thing is silly. Bret and Barry have the answer. If you think the team you are going to play is too tough.....just cancel them. Cancel Ohio State, PSU, Michigan games next year and play Cal-Poly Munchkin Institute Junior Varsity team in their place. The fans will gladly shell out the cash. I don't know why, but they will....Oh yeah, because they were around for the Morton years, you should now accept mediocrity.
I do give credit for Fresno State, but how about some decent teams from big conferences. How about Texas Techs or Colorado's (of the old days), or Arkansas or Boston College or Oregon type teams. The series we had with Oregon was some of the funnest games, win or lose. No more ripoff games. I don't even know why the players would enjoy playing a Cal-Poly? Is that fun for them?
Security made sure no one with cameraphone got near in or near bathroom when they found him and took him out the side door...
1:32pm:
we are sitting at 3-3 and play @MSU, Minnesota, Illinois, and @Iowa... we have to schedule cal poly so we can even be bowl eligible.
Point is clear. Cal-Ply.... sheesh..... Do 5-star recruits want to come and play against Cal-Poly?
Ok, somebody is thinking - well, Michigan played Appalachian State. BUT MICHIGAN also plays Notre Dame every year!
It ain't Cal-Poly!
Fans should boycott that game and just not go -- just for the principle of it.
No one is going to boycott the game after they dropped $40 a ticket for the cheap seats. Comon....
Hmmm. I know 4 guys who said they're not going to another game. They'll find some Illinois sucker to take the Homecoming game, and then sit in the bar. And yes, they'll eat the Cal-Poly tickets, for sure. Watch how many empty seats there are for that game - especially if Bucky loses to Iowa, Illinois, and then Mich State.
Well, if you put up the Cal-Poly tickets online, you never know who might buy them.
That's pretty impressive that they are willing to eat those overpriced tickets.
Has the University stated why tickets are nearly twice as expensive as they were nearly 4 years ago?
