Hello all and welcome to firebretbielema.com We first conceived of this site after listening to the incredible level of fan disgust over coaching decisions following both the Michigan and Ohio State losses.
We here at Fire Bret Bielema do not think that Bielema is a bad coach or even that he currently deserves to be fired, but we do believe that he needs to start turning this season around. After two awful losses to the likes of Michigan and Ohio State, the season is on the fast track to the Motor City Bowl. This should not happen with the level of talent and experience on the 2008-2009 Badgers.
Everyone feel free to post your frustrations and thoughts on what needs to change.

Having grown up being a Notre Dame fan before going to UW-Madison for school, I could never get how medicore ND teams could beat good Michigan teams, but great UW teams could never beat mediocre Michigan teams...but as of now, we all can see that the Badgers are pretty mediocre. Hey, but at least the players have their mopeds and groupies!
Bret Bielema inherited a team from Barry that delivered only 1 loss in 2006. Bret then delivered 4 losses in 2007 - and the bowl loss was miserable to watch. The team wasn't prepared. Now he can't beat MICHIGAN - something that TOLEDO AND APPALACHIAN STATE CAN DO !!! We have 3 losses in 2008, with a team that was ranked in the TOP 10 - and we probably will finish with 5 or 6 losses. You see the direction this is headed. UGLY ! FIRE HIM NOW and GET IT OVER WITH !!!
Has anyone noticed that there were 3 personel changes on the Badger staff from last year?
First Palcic was forced out as the "O" line coach and replaced with Bostad the tight ends coach. The "O" line sucks....the talent is there but I lay it on the coaching. Palcic was hired within a month by UCLA!
Next Bret got rid of our "D" co ordinator who was hired by North western and look what they have done..and Doeron at UW has stunk it up. The DB's and D line are not coached to make the regular plays.
The 3rd staff member to leave was Josh Sternquist who was an assitant recruiting co ordinator. He went to Minnesota and they had a top ten recruiting class in the country...ahead of Wisconsin.
Maybe it is personel decisions that are costing Bret games.
Is Chryst the next one to jump ship? It seems like it to me and Crooks, McCray and Settles to follow.
You have to be blind to see that John Clay is the stud of the backfield. If BB cant pull his head out and start Clay he should go stare in the mirror and see which idiot blinks first.
Heres a little story for you:
In December 2007, Bielema was puking his guts in the bathroom at the Dry Bean. A friend of mine walked in to take a piss and noticed Bielema puking. My friend, who doesn't care for sports and doesn't even know who coached the Badgers before Bielema, looked over at him a laughed. Bret's entourage confronted my friend and accused him of taking pictures of Bret puking. My friend doesn't have a camera or a camera phone. He gets kicked out of the Dry Bean and they asked him never to come back. No camera was taken. Trust me, if there was a camera that was hidden and left with my friend, these pictures would be out to the public right way.
Deciding to make a bad thing worse, the Dry Bean told the band playing that they cannot play there again because they knew my friend. BB sucks. He could've fixed that.
Seriously!!! Who made the call to call a timeout??? Whoever made that call deserves to be fired!!!
It shouldn't have come to that timeout. Too many penalities which is a sure sign of terrible coaching. Only thing is, how can you discipline the team for lack of focus when the coaches get flagged for 20 yards after a kickoff. No bowl this year.
Bret you ARE GONE, as far as the fans are concerned; because your stupid management of the WI sideline gave M.S. the crucial comeback touchdown ( thanks mostly to 30+ yards of senseless sideline penalties). Oh, yes the expert coaching staff also had the team so well prepared for the game that WI picked up more than 100 yards of other thoughtless penalty-bringing acts. Then, brilliant Bret, just ask him, more-than-less,assured the loss of the game, that the WI team had won, by a stupid ( no, totally absurd ) stopping of the clock so M.S. had mucho time to try a regular- situation field goal, rather than letting the clock run, and forcing a hurry, hurry field-goal attempt.
It can prove devastating when the WI team must defeat their coaching staff as well as the opposing team.
The coaching scenes for WI are really very difficult to believe. Most high-school coaching far exceeds the WI actions.
I have been a season ticket holder since 1992 and am seriously considering not repurchasing tickets next year or until they get this absurd coach out of the picture. Bielema got handed a phenomenal team and has since driven it into the ground. I love going to the games week after week, but this season has been totally different. The fans in the stands are pissed. When you hear the boos, it is not for the players, but for the ego driven coach on the sideline. Can the bastard!!! PLEASE COME BACK BARRY; YOU KNOW YOU WANT TOO!!!
