Keep hope alive.

I'd call it a basketball score, but Indiana didn't hold up their end. 443 rushing yards is incredible. P.J. looked great as did Gilreath. It would have been nice to play Indiana earlier in the season when the Badgers were in the midst of the slide, but today's game might be exactly what the team needs before facing Minnesota. Bowl game on the horizon.

great game.

...still a couple stupid (coaching-related) situations involving too many men on the field - one of which cost them a possession on an Indiana punt. lets not gloss over that because Indiana is a bad team.

finally - and this might be small but since I hate the guy, I think that I noticed...he FINALLY got rid of that stupid jacket. it seems he has replaced it with the ugliest Badger jacket known to man. just awful. my point though is that if you have you '1-0' attitude, what type of message do you think that it sends the team when the coach abandon's his own 'tradition' / superstition? if the guy wears the jacket when it is 90 degrees, but has finally taken it off - doesn't that sort of stink of desparation?

long story short, great win with more awful special teams play that had 2 TOs (BB's responsibility) - so the team won in spight of more bad coaching. if it wouldn't cost $4m to show him the door, it would have been done by now...

I don't care what anyone says. Two things that should come from this season are an end to Bulemia and an end to that Dildo, P.J. Hill.

After years of chanting "We won the toss", Barry Alvarez reinstilled pride in our program and reestablished a phenomenal running game--its apex accruing with the great Ron Dayne. That tradition has come to a screeching halt with Bulemia and Gay-J Hill.

Someone should exile them from the Madison city limits and assure them of being tarred and feathered should they return to promote their lack of talent.

After finding out Minnesota isnt as good as we thought im not as worried about next week. but its always a big game playing for the axe and Minnesota wants it

Good for the team. We no longer get Wisconsin games in my area because we are way, way, below the area's interest and way, way, out of the top 25.

But when you think about bowls, think about this: Marshall - Win, Akron - Win, Cal Poly - Win, Fresno State (5-4) Win, Indiana (5-5, 2-5 conf.) - Win, Illinois (4-4, 1-4 conf.) - Win, Minnesota ???

Michigan (3-7, 2-4 conf) - Loss, OSU - Loss, Penn State - Loss, Iowa - Loss, Michigan State - Loss.

SO FAR, WISCONSIN HAS NO, ZERO, NADA, QUALITY WINS -- MAKES ME PHYSICALLY ILL.

I think Wisconsin could rule Division II with Bret as its coach.

Don't even tell me about FSU or Illinois -- not that anyone would!

yeah with number six where bowl elgible so where we going to the gary indiana bowl. or how about the roswell alien bowl. the fact is this season still isn't good enough considering the talent we came in with.

yea the fresno state win isnt that big anymore but thats not wisconsin's fault that fresno state is having a disapointing year. same thing would of happend if we didnt back out of the virginia tech game and won people would say the same thing about them they arent that good this year

Keep in mind, Indiana was on the verge of entering half time with a lead!

First quarter, dropped lateral pass, the WI player stood there looking at the ball on the ground. It wasnt until he saw the Indiana players moving toward it did he jump on the ball. Coach the kids to grab the ball first, worry about the whistle later.

Bret has been named the worst coach in college football this year.

Time for him to go before he does irreparable harm.

This website is the exact problem with our society today! So quick to bring someone down and mostly because you may not like them personally. I see some comments on the game but more on the after hours situations(which are none of your business anyway), AND ALL post anonymous with the exception of a few??? How about saying who you are and face the people you are talking about instead of hiding behind this site! YOU SHOULD ALL BE FIRED AS BADGER FANS since you just showed our kids how to act when things aren't going the way YOU want them too. This site is NOT the way to handle it and shame on you all! You just become no better than the things you are writing about....

Randy you have been officially named moron of the year. wisconsin wins 55-20 and your response is fire bielema.

Anonymous said...

Im so tired of people bashing bielema. its not all his fault we lost to michigan. evridge threw a stupid interception that went for a touchdown when there was 4 michigan players in the area. then we had a stupid roughing the passer penalty on 3rd down that gave michigan the ball back and they ended up getting a touchdown. stop blaming bielema for every thing the players are making just as many mistakes as he is

Don't forget that Indiana is not a good football team and we were on the verge of being down 27-21 at half until their starting QB got put out of action near the goal line. Their offense ceased to function after that. This is a win, but miles and miles from a "good" win.

well minnesota only beat indiana by 10 and it was at minnesota. so i guess thats a good indication wisconsin will beat minnesota

If your not happy with wisconsin just making any bowl game this year then you are just greedy. there is teams like indiana that rarely ever go to a bowl game and badger fans are whining cause it mgiht be the motor city bowl or insight bowl. thats just being greedy

Maybe Bielema's not the problem. Maybe this just isn't our year. Anyone can say what they want but I'm not ready to blast Bret just quite yet. But if we don't improve next year I might change that opinion.

if wisconsin fired bielema today i guarantee you tennessee, kansas state and washington would all be calling him asking if he would interested in coaching their next season.

Anonymous said...

Tennessee, K-State, and Washington? So because other terrible teams may be interested in him, we should hold on to him as long as we can?

Anonymous said...

We win one game against a terrible team and all of sudden this site is invalid and we all become greedy. Jesus we beat a high school football team with IU jerseys on and without its QB. The point is BB sucks, both as a coach and at life. The team has played uninspired football and he can't recruit. Let him walk to Tennessee, Ill trade them for Fulmer any day

Anonymous said...

Bielema cant recruit? rivals.com says Bielema's first 3 recruiting classes were better then Alvarez's last 3 years. and what the hell did barry do after his last rose bowl? it wasnt much better then last season or this season

Anonymous said...

if you dont like bret bielema then go find another team. and if you have season tickets and dont like bielema then cancel your season tickets cause there is a waiting list to get them and there is fans that would be more then happy to have season tickets.

Anonymous said...

"If you don't like Bret Beilema go find another team"
Whoever just posted that is retarded, If I don't like the coach I don't have to find another team, I can go online and bitch about it until he is fired. I love the Badgers, not our dumbass coach

Anonymous said...

Anybody who blindly supports this coach and says we can't critisize him is a complete and utter moron. "Ooooh, we must fall in line and march lockstep- blind allegience!" Idiot! Yeah, if those other crappy teams want Bret the Town Drunk, they can have him.

gaffy said...

America, Love it or Leave it!!!

Support the War in Iraq / Viet Nam, or you are a traitor.

On a much less important level --Awful coaching, love it or you are disloyal to Wisconsin.

Come on, man, blind allegiance sucks. Rigid thinking sucks.

And, Indiana, without a QB, is less than a bad team.

Jeesh!

it would be pretty stupid to continue liking wisconsin if you hate bielema cause bielema is the future of wisconsin football he isnt going any where. the only people that say he is on the hot seat is the media and the fans no one at the uw wants him fires especially barry alvarez

Anonymous said...

i agree, and having this site is stupid because like the person above me said Bielema isnt going anywhere. he isnt a bad coach people are just being greedy and also dont realize that EVERY coach makes mistakes. quit whining and grow up

Anonymous said...

It seems that most of the people writing in favor of the Town Drunk can't even put together a decent sentence with correct punctuation. It's not a text message you morons, and the only reason ol' Bret Buddy isn't going anywhere is because St. Alvarez would have to admit his error in hiring this Hawkeye lush.
Boycott Cal-Poly!!

Joe Paterno is one of the best football coaches there is but he didnt take penn state to a bowl game in 2003 and 2004 so i guess he should of been fired right? no coach can have perfect seasons or guarantee a bowl game every year even joe paterno
