When Michigan loses an angel gets its wings.

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving. I am thankful for the joy of watching the men's hockey team beat Michigan 3-0 tonight. The team is back to .500 and that's impressive given their early season schedule. They were running some sort of an auction at the Kohl Center, and I think you could bid on having Adam Burish fight someone you dislike. I'm kidding of course. Actually, Burish was matching bids on some item or something to that effect in an effort to give money to charity, so good for him. I'm also thankful for former Badger hockey players who go on to have NHL careers as enforcers. Mark my words, Burish will be coaching at Wisconsin sometime in the future.
I've attached my personal favorite fight video and a link to Adam's blog. Also, I've put up a new pole on which assistant coach will be the first sacrificial lamb led to slaughter after this season is over.

(doing my best Cosell impression) Down goes Nystrom!

the hockey win over michigan was the first step in a carthartic procress for badger fans.

other parts of said process include:

-beating michigan at home next year
-FIRING BRET BIELEMA

Good God #2. That's the single dirtiest paragraph I've ever read. I'm going to leave it up because I'm as impressed as I am horrified.

"Eiffle towering...." . Too funny.

When did 8 year olds care about Bret Bielema?

Anonymous said...

Bielema makes 1.3 million a year so obviously the uw likes him and see's alot in him. you dont make that kind of money if you arent a good coach

so by that logic brewers manager ned yost was a good manager because he was making millions to manage the brewers. so what happened to yost oh right HE GOT FIRED.

yost did get fired then what happend? they made the playoffs. so it was a stupid decision just like the idiotic fans that want bielema fired

So to your logic if Bret got fired then the badgers would make the playoffs or a bowl in this case and i think you just proved out point of why we want him fired...thanks for being retarded

no you people are just being greedy, wisconsin went 12-1 in 2006 and fans were expecing that every year. if you dont like bielema go find another team no one said you have to like wisconsin

wait common making a shitty bowl game and making the baseball playoffs are two different things. it is extremely difficult to make the playoffs in baseball. you have only four spots in each league to make the playoffs in. in college football you have 32 bowl games which eaquals 64 spots. the real equivalent to making the baseball playoffs in college football is getting to a bcs bowl game. and to my knowledge bret bielema has done nothing but failed in his attempt to get us to a bcs game. so fire his ass especialy after this year when we had all this talent and expirience we really should have contended for a big ten tittle and a bcs bid and instead we barely scrape in to the insight.com bowl

Bielema is very strange. Cancels Va Tech but then accepts Florida State, they are really very similar talent wise. Bret and Barry should have absolutely begged their way into the Motor City Bowl against the MAC. I know it's not Football Subdivision Squirts 1AA, but they still had a chance of winning.

Florida State, a mediocre performing ACC team by 85, 119-34.

Go Iowa.

don be an idiot said...

do you even know what you're talking about? canceling va tech, but accepts florida state? va tech was a regular season game, right before the hardest stretch of big ten games in the big ten this past season with michigan, osu, penn state, iowa, illinois and michigan state. let alone michigan, those are the top 6 teams in the big ten, including wisconsin. why beat yourself up against a big physical opponent right before the toughest stretch of your season?

playing va tech would have been foolish, and then we were able to play one of the top 3 teams in the FCS and get them some national spotlight, while still pulling out a W.

bielema didnt accept to play FSU, the university accepted to play in the Champs Sports Bowl, which was the best bowl offered to the badgers, giving them an opportunity to play a very storied program in FSU.

dont be an idiot.

Gives them an opportunity to be destroyed by a very storied program in FSU, you mean.

The spread is currently showing the Badgers up by 5, if I'm reading this right. There's some money to be made here because Bielema isn't going to beat FSU. No way, no how.
