If it weren't for the one loss in 2006 (think it was at Michigan in the Big Ten Opener, wasn't it?) The Badgers WOULD HAVE had the national title at the end of that season. They had the toughest D of the Big Ten that year and Stocco showed in the Cap One that if teams tried to take away PJ Hill, he could pick apart the secondary on quick-release throws. Badgers would have beaten Florida that year where Ohio State failed. Cap One game was not as close as final score...two picks at end of half (leading to 7 points) scared Bielema to go into a shell on offense for 2nd half and put the game in the very capable hands of the defense.

You kidding? You think that 2006 Badger team would have lost to USC in the 2007 Rose Bowl? Hell, Houston Nutt came up with a defense to shut down PJ Hill in the Cap One that no one else would have tried....8 men in the box and rushing at least 7 on every play...and Stocco picked it apart for the most part. Just two picks at the end of the 1st half cause Bielema to take his foot off the gas in the 2nd half. Pete Carroll never would have come up with such a defense and PJ Hill would have rushed for over 150 WITH Stocco having thrown for over 200 against USC.

I firmly believe that that 2006 BADGER team was good enough to beat Florida that year and have won the national title.

Bielema could not be more of an idiot, he handed this game to Sparty WTF was that sideline penalty he took to give them great field position to get them back in the game. The instead of trying to pick up a first down and run out the clock the moron runs it up the middle. Then he tops it off with that timeout that allows Sparty to get set up for a field goal instead of letting them try it fire drill style. He has no judgment at all and should go back to being a defensive coordinator, somewhere far away from Wisconsin

This afternoons loss at Michigan State was unequivocally the result of absolutely horrible coaching on the part of Bret Bielema. After we go ahead by 11 points and we have the momentum easily on our side he gets a 5 yard penalty for a sideline infraction on the kickoff and then what does he do? He gets a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty for yelling at the refs about it. This gave MSU the ball on OUR 48 yard line and led to an easy touchdown. Then, when we have their kick team rushing onto the field, he decides to wait 15 seconds before calling a time out, and then uses his second one to try and ice the kicker. There are two options here: A. you let the time run out and make them rush or B. you call a timeout immediately and give your quarterback 30 seconds to work with. This was the absolute last thing you want to do. Then, add to that that you get over 100 yards of penalties (20 of which are Bielema's), and you account for a complete lack of discipline on the part of the coaching staff, which carries over to the players. His recruiting is mediocre at best (we were #41 in the country last year). This game was absolute garbage and Bielema has shown once again that he is not qualified to be a head coach at the Division 1 level. Who cares if he went 11-1 his first year, that was carryover from Barry Alvarez, Lloyd Carr won a national championship his first year and then steadily watched as Michigan fell out of any National significance, losing to OSU an insane 6 years in a row. If we want Badger football to have any sort of future, we need to take either an offensive or defensive coordinator who runs the spread from the SEC

After the loss today at MSU, he needs to go. That was one of the worst coaching jobs that I have ever witnessed. A costly penalty on the sidelines? A timeout used with the Spartan FG unit rushing on to the field? Serve the win up on a platter....and better yet, make his job the dessert. We have a lot of talent on this sqaud, just not a lot of heart. That comes down to the indvidual holding the clipboard. He needs to go.

F*** Bret Bielema.... He is a great individual - I have personally talked to him many times. On the other hand, he is a horrible, horrible coach. In college, you teach kids. They are not disciplined and keep making mistakes. That is the damn problem. Also, he is too much of a budy to his players becuase he is young - that is obvious. Let's see, a pathetic bowl game this year. Already 2 home losses in the same year. And worst of all, a possible non sellout for the 1st time in many many years. During the past 15 years, it didn't matter who we played, the game was sold out before the season ended. I am embarrased to be a badger right now and I have over $10,000 of memorabilia.

Bielema is a damn Hawkeye send him back to the corn fields of Iowa after that Michigan State game today i am completely outraged...What a damn joke...I cannot believe a coach could blow a game so horribly. Not only did the coaching staff get a personal foul but we had over 100 yards in penalties. Especially a hold on 3 and 1 and then a false start. What a joke lack of discipline from a 38 year old coach who doesn't know what he is doing on the field. The team is undisciplined and unfit to play for the University of Wisconsin. Stocco he didn't make mistakes. Sheerer can't throw the ball 10 damn yards. He has embarassed the University as well as the fan base. While I still will watch next weekend I will hope we have an interim coach. What a joke, what a horrible team and what a pathetic coaching staff. They never even gave evridge a chance to throw a ball. Now Sheerer can't even throw an out ball he underthrows every pass that is outside. His arm is weak and so is Bielema.
